Not all artefacts can be loaned to be admierd on an exhibition. Either because their condition discourages from it, because they are very valuable or their transport much too complex. The facsimile, or replicais a very intereseting alternative in these cases. The visitor of the exhibition can get a quite accurate idea of how the original is, but it remains untouched and safely stored at its place, needless to be handled nor assuming risks of any kind.
